This course introduces economic decisions of individual people and firms and basic principles in economic analysis, the determination of prices and quantities of individual goods and equilibria in markets and different games. In each class we would consider different examples of economic problems and discuss the relevant analytical tools. We would apply the analysis to the problems and interpret the results. Various topics include preferences and decisions, equilibria of markets and games, effects of policies and welfare analysis.
