Have you ever wondered how different rocks and minerals formed? Do you know how volcanoes work? This course designed for students who discover in themselves a sense of excitement about the environment, mountains, climate change, volcanoes, fossils, rivers, and earthquakes. This course introduces the study of earth systems, physcial processes operating on the earth including plate tectonics, volcanoes, earthquakes, glaciers, rock cycles, the history of the earth and geology in solar system. Through the course, students will gain the understanding of fundamental principles of geology and basic geological reasoning. Some lastest geological scientific report and rock specimen may be offered.
